S S Five Zero One? Or Double S Five o One

Well, this topic that I specifically wrote is about the K-pop group SS501(pronounced Double S Five oh One) . It is a group consisting of five members. And debuted last 2006-2007 with their title song Warning.You might be wondering why they are called SS501. I was too. But after some searches I found out it meant "Super Star 501" and their 501 means "Five United As One". Up to now they are still together and performing on stage and they have captured the hearts of millions of female and male all over the world

Let us start with the introductions:
Kim Hyun Joong a.k.a Leader
He is the leader of SS501 and the eldest out of the five members. He was born on July 6 1986 in Seoul, Korea. He is actually known as the "4D Leader" because of his weird behavior.
You may know him as Yoon Ji Hoo in Boys Over Flowers(the drama that was aired in ABS-CBN). That was when I knew him too. Actually my first impression on him was good. I did not see anything wrong about him and thought he was okay. Because he was a good actor and a good singer as well. Furthermore, he is also a very good leader and older brother to the other members.


Heo Young Saeng a.k.a Shy Prince
His position in the group is main vocals mainly because of his powerful yet gentle voice that can reach any pitch of high note. He was born on November 3 1986 just like leader. Thus making him the second oldest on the group. He is known as Shy prince because he is always shy in front of cameras, badboy because of the new concept of the group and otter for some reason I still don't know.
After learning about SS501. Young Saeng was the second person who caught my attention. Because of his voice. And his adorable childish face.

Kim Kyu Jong a.k.a Center
Kyu Jong is known as the "center" of SS501 because he is literally in the center when you arrange them by ages. He was born in February 24 1987. A year younger than the other two. He is very fun loving and loves to be with the other members. And he is also a good singer and rapper.
KyuJong was the last person I knew from the group. Because somehow even if he did stand out I did not pay any attention to him. But after watching and listening to more songs of theirs, you will get attracted by his powerful voice and amazing dance moves. Yes he might be funny and comedic, but he can be cool and tough as well.

Park Jung Min a.k.a Sexy Charisma
Like how his alias says, he is called as Sexy Charisma mainly because he is full of charisma on and off stage. He is born on April 3 1987. And is the Low vocalist in the group. His deep and warm voice can make any girl sigh. It is very attracting even through my point of view.
JungMin was one who I did not really notice. Because he looked like one of the members. But like Kyujong, after watching more videos. You would get to know him better and you would appreciate more his deep and romantic voice.

Kim Hyung Jun a.k.a Baby or Maknae
Kim Hyung Jun is the youngest member in the group. He was born on August 3 1986. And is a very talented person. He was the first to ever enter the group. He can play the piano, his voice is extraordinary and he can compose his own songs(along with his brother Kim Kibum from U-kiss) and they call themselves as HnB. They have composed many songs for the group already and are planning to do more. Even though he is called Baby and he might act a bit childish. On stage, you can see how much he puts effort into it. Not wanting to put the groups name into shame.
Hyung Jun was the one member who really caught my full attention even till now. I am really amazed on how he can sing low pitched songs and sing high pitched songs as well. His vocal range is really wide and I idolize him for that. Plus he has a cute appearance and his somehow baby acts can make a girl fall for him at one.


Reaction Time!!
Lets see. Overall reaction? Very good. They never fail to amuse me and fellow k-pop fans or music fans. They always surprise us with either new hit making songs. Really they are one of the best groups of the 2007-2010 era. Starting from Never Again down to Love Ya, those five young, or shall I say grown men have never failed to capture the hearts of their male and female fans all over the world. On stage they are the tough looking professional SS501 but offstage they are the fun loving, always playing around, group of young men SS501. Dual personality? I don't think so.

Forever in the hearts of their fans. SS501: Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung min and Kim Hyung Jun.
